...The Place to Go

We celebrated our anniversary at Popoli’s last night. It was amazing from beginning to end. The restaurant itself was beautiful and immaculate. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and our server, Molly, was fabulous! The manager, Michael, went above and beyond to make the entire night perfect! We had the Crab Fritta Fried Wontons with Creamy Fontina, Spicy Sausage, Lump Crab, Tomato, and Pepperoncini, it was delicious. Our entrees were nothing short of perfect! We had the Linguine Frutti de Mare with Red Clam Sauce, Mussels, Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Calamari, Clams, Capers, Spicy Fresno Chili and the Eight Ounce Cedar Valley Filet Mignon with a Red Wine Demi-Glace, Roasted Yukon Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus cooked to perfection. Dessert was the perfect ending to the evening. Salted Caramel Crème Brule’ and rhubarb berry crisp with ice cream. After dinner we toured the vault area and being a history lover it was definitely a sight to see. I can’t say enough about this place, definitely the place to go. -Kelli

The Service and Meal was Amazing.

My husband and I came to the restaurant for the first time this evening and we want the entire staff and chef to know the service and meal was amazing . We researched restaurants in town for some time to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary and you far exceeded our expectations. We will be telling everyone we know about the great food and service. A Wonderful Experience

I had a wonderful experience at Popolis earlier this evening with two friends. I hadn’t been there in quite some time and was not disappointed. Very nice wine list, and the food was delicious–the blue cheese wedge salad was excellent, as was my shrimp/angel hair entree. The flourless chocolate torte was a perfect end to the meal. Relaxing, comfortable atmosphere conducive to conversation. The manager was very accommodating and went the extra mile to find the Iowa State basketball game on tv and seat us where we could keep an eye on the game. Both friends said their pasta entrees were delicious. I hope to go back soon. Thank you for a fun evening! -Terry

Amazing Steak

Amazing steak, coupled with Guinness on tap, awesome staff, and a lot really cool ambiance. The restaurant is an old bank building and listed in the historical places registrar. During the flood the bank was half underwater. Our group had dinner in the “vault” and got a tour of the safe deposit box vault which has been converted into the wine cellar. Would definitely come back and would recommend this as a first choice for any out of town traveler. -Bryan

Lemon Blueberry Crem Brûlée...

We had a wonderful time tonight. I enjoyed the pork tenderloin and my family ordered pasta. Everyone enjoyed the meals. The service was excellent. The desserts were delicious. I enjoyed the lemon blueberry crem brûlée the most! -Jeannie
